The Auralex SonoLite Absorption Panels are designed to reduce unwanted reflections and flutter echo in critical listening environments such as control rooms, live rooms and rehearsal spaces.

At the core of each panel is the Auralex high performance Studiofoam Pro, allowing the SonoLite wall panel to achieve an NRC rating of 0.80. Offered in two attractive velour fabric color options, black and tan, they are designed to mount to flat walls and ceilings. For added low-frequency control, consider using SonoLite Bass Traps in the corners of your room. If you are looking for a full wall treatment set, have a look at the SonoLite SonoKits and add the brand new SonoLite Cloud Panel System above the listening/mix position to complete the whole room treatment package.

What We Think

avatar

The Auralex SonoLite panels are one of those upgrades that make an immediate, obvious difference the moment they go up. While setting them up in the studio — especially around the drum area — the change in the room was impossible to miss. Flutter echo off flat walls and ceilings dropped dramatically, and the high-mid and high-frequency buildup that had been getting in the way was suddenly under control. What we really noticed was how much better the drums started to sound, particularly the overheads. With the room tamed, everything felt clearer and more detailed, and mic placement became easier because we weren’t fighting the space anymore. And let’s be honest — not all acoustic treatment is easy on the eyes. The SonoLites are actually nice to look at, which makes a big difference in a home studio where you want the room to feel inspiring, not cluttered or ugly. They’re affordable, effective, and genuinely do what they promise. For home studio owners looking to make a meaningful improvement without overcomplicating things, these panels are absolutely worth the investment.
