The Rupert Neve Portico 5032 Microphone Preamp / EQ combines elite-grade microphone preamplification with a highly musical three-band equalizer - all in a compact single-channel, half-rack module. Whether used at the tracking stage or during mixdown, the 5032 delivers Neve’s signature clarity and depth, giving you both pristine transparency and flexible tone control in one powerful unit. At its heart is the same mic preamp section found in the Portico 5012, featuring transformer-coupled inputs and thorough signal integrity from mic or line sources. Layered onto this is a full-featured EQ section with high- and low-shelving curves and a sweepable parametric mid-band that covers 80 Hz to 8 kHz (or up to 8 kHz with the “x10” switch). With an independent transformer-coupled line input for the EQ section, you can shape signals at line level or insert this unit mid-chain - making the 5032 as useful for tracking as it is for mixing. Thoughtfully engineered with selectable mic/line paths, SILK harmonic character switch, high-pass filtering, phase invert and mute options, the Portico 5032 gives engineers tonal freedom alongside technical precision.
