    From the perspective of a Cubase user, Studio One is not as good for large orchestral sessions, but just about beats it in everything else. As of a recent update VSL instruments can automagically be articulation-managed; Scratchpads are useful, and the UI is more polished and less buggy. If improvements are made for managing 100+ tracks projects, Studio One may very well be the new MIDI composing standard.

    ARA integration of Melodyne Studio and Vocalign Pro are absolutely stunning and have saved me hours of work. This software runs very well on my machine and I love the way this thing works. If you're coming from PT expect a bit steeper of a learning curve but if you're coming from Steinberg or Logic you will pick it up quick. I would seriously consider giving this a try.

Presonus Studio One is my personal favorite DAW. It's so intutive and user friendly. They're way ahead of the "industry standard" DAW in a lot of ways. I actually transitioned from Pro Tools. You're able to customize the DAW and keyboard shortcuts to your liking too. So no matter what DAW you're transitioning from, Studio One will be a breeze to use. There are a number of awesome features that set Studio One above the rest. No matter if you're just starting out or looking to treansition from another DAW, check out Studio One, you won't be disappointed! There's an "Artist" version that's more affordable with slighlty limited features that may be a great starting point for you! If you ever have any questions about Studio One, feel free to give me a call and I'll be happy to assist!
