    I've tried a lot of mastering limiters over the years, but the Hum Audio LAAL has quickly become my favorite. It gives me the loudness I need without crushing the life out of the mix. Transients stay punchy, the stereo image remains open, and everything just sounds more polished and musical. The LAAL has been one of the smartest investments I've made for my studio.

The Hum Audio LAAL Mastering Limiter is one of those pieces that immediately feels serious in the best possible way. When we put it across the mix bus, the first thing we noticed was how confidently it controls peaks without making the track feel flattened or lifeless. It gives you that “finished” mastering polish, but it still lets the low end breathe, the transients hit, and the stereo image stay open. What makes the LAAL so cool is its analog look-ahead design, using a fully analog 0.2 ms delay line to help the limiter react to fast peaks while staying in the analog domain. That means you can push level with a surprising amount of control, but the result still feels musical, solid, and real. For mastering engineers, mix engineers, or serious studios looking for a high-end analog limiter that can deliver loudness, punch, and transparency without turning everything into a brick, the LAAL is a very special tool.
