The Great River MEQ-1NV Channel Strip brings legendary "big iron" studio flavor to your rack, fusing two of Great River’s finest - the ME-1NV mic preamp and EQ-1NV four-band parametric equalizer - into one powerhouse unit.
With discrete Class-A circuitry, dual-stage gain architecture and ultra-low noise headroom, this channel strip is built for serious tracking, mixing and sonic sculpting in pro studios and elevated home setups alike. When you plug into the MEQ-1NV, you’re tapping into vintage-inspired design with modern flexibility. The mic pre section draws on the classic British “1073” blueprint, yet offers high-current Class-A output stages, high-Z instrument input and dual metering to monitor gain. Then the EQ-1NV section sits between the mic pre’s gain stages (via a patch loop) offering four independent bands of true inductor/capacitor-based equalisation – a nod to the “1081/1083” era – letting you drive harmonics with high input gain or dial back for pristine clarity. The MEQ-1NV handles vocals, guitars, drums, synths or any source you throw at it, delivering rich texture, depth and tone control.
