The EM-EFER FaQ32 is a versatile two-stage preamp built around CAPI’s Melcor-inspired circuitry, delivering plenty of gain, headroom, and classic analog character. With up to 72dB of mic gain, the FaQ32 has more than enough power for everything from condenser microphones to low-output dynamics and ribbons. Separate Preamp Gain and Channel Fader controls give you plenty of flexibility when gain staging, allowing you to run the preamp clean or push the circuit harder for additional color and character while controlling the final level. Mic and line operation, an 80Hz high-pass filter, input pad, phantom power, polarity reverse, and output metering round out a flexible feature set that makes the FaQ32 a great choice for vocals, drums, guitars, bass, and just about anything else you want to record.
