The Audeze MM-520 Headphones bring Manny Marroquin’s signature studio monitoring concept into sharper focus with enhanced low-end accuracy, improved spatial detail, and the kind of planar magnetic precision that makes critical mix decisions feel a whole lot less like guesswork.

Designed for engineers, producers, mixers, and creators who need trustworthy headphone monitoring, the MM-520 delivers a powerful yet honest listening experience that helps your work translate from the studio to the real world. Built on the foundation of the acclaimed MM-500, the Audeze MM-520 adds Audeze’s SLAM™ technology, short for Symmetric Linear Acoustic Modulator, to optimize air pressure inside the earcup for more immediate bass response and a more open sense of space. The result is a professional open-back headphone that gives you deeper insight into the low end without giving up the midrange neutrality and detail that made the Manny Marroquin Signature Series a serious tool for working audio professionals. Inside, the MM-520 features 90mm planar magnetic drivers with Ultra-Thin Uniforce™ diaphragms, Fluxor™ magnet arrays, and Fazor™ phase management for fast transient response, low distortion, and excellent clarity across the frequency spectrum. With high sensitivity, low impedance, and comfortable memory foam earpads with magnetic attachment, the MM-520 is ready for long mix sessions whether you are working from a console, audio interface, or laptop-based rig.

Audeze MM-500 — the reference I needed for mixing
    Enrique Anselmi

As a musician, producer, and mixer who works on the move, I needed headphones I could trust to make real decisions anywhere, not just to listen. The MM-500 are exactly that. The first thing that stands out is the stereo image: detailed, precise, with a separation that lets you place every element in the field clearly. For M/S work, panning, and depth, that precision is gold. Audeze's planars deliver a level of detail and transient response that reveal what other headphones hide. The low end is honest and extended, with the texture you need to judge the weight of a bass or a kick without guessing. And the mids are transparent, without that coloration that makes you mix toward the headphone instead of toward the music. Working nomadically, they've become my main reference. Whether I'm producing an idea, tracking, or finishing a mix in a room I don't know, I can trust what I hear and know it will translate. That confidence, in any space, is what makes them essential to how I work.
