The Hamburg 67 is based on a unique FET circuit that saturates gradually, so there is no abrupt clipping, like with most standard condenser mics. The Hamburg 67-T-FET boasts an Australian Designed Capsule, British Oxford Transformer, Hi-End Phillips Norelco Uber-FET. The Hamburg 67-F-FET is manufactured with Hi-End Methods and Materials, including a $6 Resistor! It took three microphone experts including a PhD in Physics, a Design Genius in Belgium and a 40 year-old microphone collection (with many much older microphones) to create it! Add Two-Way Attenuation Pads (8 and 16 dB) to enable end-user to tailor the dynamic behavior of the microphone to the situation and obtain new textures, with rarely the need for outboard processors or even EQ. The Hamburg 67-T is a tri-polar microphone with selectable Cardioid, Figure-8, and Omni pickup patterns.
