The Fostex HP-A4 DA Converter is the high performance DA converter with a headphone amplifier. A new, improved version of the acclaimed HP-A3, the HP-A4 offers up to DSD 5.6MHz and PCM 192kHz for superior audio playback functionality as well as the sophisticated and class-leading appearance of the flagship HP-A8C.
The Fostex HP-A4 DA Converter receives a digital audio signal from the USB connector or the optical digital connector, and converts it to an analog signal, which is fed from the analog line output connectors as well as the headphones output connectors. Fostex HP-A4 DA Converter can play back PCM audio as well as DSD audio natively. You can enjoy up to 24-bit/192-kHz PCM source as well as up to 5.6-MHz DSD source in excellent quality. The Fostex HP-A4 DA Converter requires a DSD playback software on PC such as the upcoming "Fostex Audio Player". Both DoP and ASIO acceptable. It also needs the dedicated driver for Windows. Not compatible with Windows XP 64bit. The Fostex HP-A4 DA Converter does not playback audio data stored on a microSD card.
