The Avantone CK-7+ Microphone is designed to produce professional results with a clean sonic character. Featuring a transformer coupled Discreet Class A FET circuitry, the CK-7+ offers a very solid feel, superb structural integrity and rugged reliability.

The Avantone "Cabernet (C-series)" mics are designed to offer true professional performance at an absolutely unbeatable price. Featuring high grade Polystyrene and Metalized Polypropylene capacitors in the audio path as well as our own proprietary edge terminated dual backplate 34mm 6 micron capsule, the CK7+ has the component set that is normally attributed to modded or hot rodded microphones.

Avantone's new premium capsule with a transformer coupled circuit allows an incredibly airy open top end with a solid and thick low end, making the CK7+ the most versatile microphone at its price point. Milled from a single piece solid brass, the body of the CK7+ was designed to give the microphone a solid feel and the included custom retro shock mount prevents unwanted vibrations from traveling up into the microphone.

The Avantone CK-7+ has separate -10 dB pad & 80 Hz LF roll off switches....The -10dB attenuation switch can be engaged when miking very high SPL sources to keep from overloading the electronics. The 80Hz high-pass filter switch can be engaged to reduce rumble and to keep unwanted low frequencies from "muddying up" the track.

The Avantone CK-7+ also features 3 separate polar patterns, it’s versatility allows it to be a fantastic tool for a variety of situations. All of these features come together to give you a fully professional microphone and a completely unbeatable value.

Quality to good compared to the price
    Jonas Klinck

I have used this mic for 6 months, about 6 months ago before I moved, mainly to record rap performances, and vocals to song parodies, but also a little acoustic guitar. All I can say is that the CK-7 does a good job, especially given the price. Vocals sounded dry and controlled (have not trying record without using the sE Reflection Filter), and with few EQ adjustments, I got nice and detailed results. I really don't think there is another studio mic out there that can give same professional results for a price beneath 300 $. The design and build quality is also noticeable. And I almost forgot to mention the 5 years warranty. There is no good reason not to buy this.

    The Avant Electronics CK-7

The first thing you notice when receiving these mics is the build quality. You get a metal case and when you open that a wooden case holds the mic and beside the wooden case is an area for the spider mount. The mics are multi-pattern and offer selective switches on the housing. So I'll cut to the chase.....these mics sound very good. I recently used them to record a classical cello performance. The two mics into a Focusrite Octopre straight to disc. The recording was very life like Ive also used them on a choir recording with very good results. For the money and the fact you get a 5 year warranty it's a great deal. Good enough to prompt buying another pair.
