The DPA ST4015C Stereo Microphone Kit contains two matched 4015C Microphones that feature an indispensably low-profile solution for audio engineers and set designers alike. The mics are matched within ±1 dB on both frequency response and sensitivity to produce accurate sonic reproduction.

The DPA ST4015C Stereo Microphone Kit is designed for use in the high-end recording and film production industry. Delivering clean, accurate sound, the microphones in DPA ST4015C Stereo Microphone Kit are used by professionals, who understand sound and insist on only using the best. The DPA ST4015C incorporates the award-winning recording microphones in specialized stereo pair. The kit is a complete Stereo Pair with two carefully factory-matched 4015 Wide Cardioid Microphones. Even though the standard tolerances on DPA's recording mic series is extremely low, a stereo match is even closer. These mics are matched within ±1 dB on both frequency response and sensitivity. The pair comes with two 4015 mics, clips and windscreens in a Peli™ Case.

Tremendously precise and natural sounding, the compact wide cardioids will excel when used on choirs, percussion setups, grand pianos, wind instruments, and much more. Also useful as spot mics for classical recording, the 4015C blends very naturally in with the main pair. The DPA ST4015C is a complete DPA 4015C Stereo Pair kit with two carefully factory-matched wide cardioid microphones. The specially selected DPA 4015C microphones are matched within ±1 dB on both frequency response and sensitivity. The foam design in the heavy-duty transportation box allows for fast and easy exchange of microphone/accessory inlays.

4015 Wide Cardioid Microphone
The off-axis characteristics of the MMC4015 Wide Cardioid Microphone Capsule are totally linear, a unique quality when it comes to authentic sound reproduction. Any leakage that occurs from off-axis sound sources is still a faithful reproduction of these sounds, just softly attenuated. Sometimes a conventional cardioid pattern just isn’t quite open enough. Recording orchestras or other ensembles sometimes requires a compromise between blending in the room reverberation and a more precise localization. When recording instruments with complex radiation patterns, the wide cardioid (also known as hemispheric) design covers a greater sound angle and is an excellent choice. This is the often ideal mic for recording grand piano, guitar, marimba, and percussion, or as a spot mic for groups in a symphony orchestra. Likewise, it is an excellent speech, dubbing, or vocal mic as its enhanced richness on the bass end nicely compliments many voices.
