The APEX 210B Ribbon Microphone delivers the unique character and tone of the classic ribbon design at an unbelievable price, making the ribbon microphone available for the first time to the home studio enthusiast and project studio engineer.

The APEX 210B Ribbon Microphone is the ideal microphone for vocals, solo instruments and any broadcast application. The classic ribbon microphone design boasts the most natural sounding audio capture available. The active element of the APEX 210B Ribbon Microphone is a very thin corrugated aluminum ribbon mounted under low tension between the poles of a strong magnet. The asymmetrical figure-8 pickup pattern has an extended sweet spot on the rear face of the microphone allowing the recording to accurately reproduce the natural space and ambient reverberation of a good sounding live room with incredibly fast and accurate transient response and stunning realism. The APEX 210B ribbon microphone is ideal for todays direct to digital recordings.

Although ribbon microphones are by their nature extremely fragile, the APEX 210B can handle high sound pressure levels approaching 165dB range. The low-tension 2-inch long, 2-micron thick aluminum ribbon design offers audio reproduction with smooth, natural extended low and high frequency response. The APEX 210B comes in an all new black and smoked chrome finish, and is shipped with a custom designed aluminum carrying case.

    APEX 210B Ribbon Microphone
    Roger Murray

This ribbon mic works very well. I’ve ordered a second one. Sounds almost as good as my old RCA 44’s for broadcast use. Need to find or build a suitable shockmount for these as the size of the mics are unusually large in diameter: 67mm. Very happy that the Chinese are turning out quality mics at sensible & reasonable prices! Roger Murray.

    Killer Cab Mic
    Jeremy Persinger

Nuff Said I have heard reviews its sounds as good as a royer, I have no comparison, but I LOVE this mic. We pull it out every time bc of its translation of distortion on heavy stuff is awesome, never fizzy, but big and full, just when your eq'ing start with a low end roll off and work with that. Also be aware and do some research on proximity effect and ribbons...I go 4"-6" dead center

    Fantastic mic!
    David Diesel

This mic is very clear, and has a warm, rich, oldschool sound to it. So far it's just been used live, in rehearsal, but can't wait to use it for recording!

    good buy
    carlton jones

Bought two of these to record a guitar player/singer. Side rejection was good enough to maintain reasonable separation between the two. We also use them for rehearsals through a jamhub.

Buy it and get the Mod!
    Noah

This mic went directly to Michael Joly for his excellent mod work. He replaced the transformer, reduced the grill padding, and corrected the ribbon tension. I don't know what this mic sounded like before the mod, but now it exhibits all the desirable characteristics one would expect from a nice traditional ribbon mic.
