To reduce wear on the I/O of my 16 Millenia Media mic pre's, I use 6 foot Mogami cables as snakes.  I prefer this method over using a patch bay.

Highest quality microphone cable I've ever got! October 31, 2010

This cable is really worth the extra money to get if you're serious about recording. I've used my M-audio in-ear monitor to do comparisons between this cable and my other regular cable brands with neutriks connectors. This cable gives the clearest clarity out of all my cables.
