Lewitt LCT 140 Small Diaphragm Condenser Microphone Details

The Lewitt LCT 140 Small Diaphragm Condenser Microphone is an extremely versatile, easy-to-use, compact 2/3-inch back-electret condenser microphone, perfectly suited for quality-conscious casual users. Its low-mass diaphragm delivers an exceptionally clear and natural sound, making it the perfect fit for a wide range of live and studio applications including drums and percussion, acoustic instruments or even vocal ensembles.

Thanks to its high-quality cardioid pickup pattern that effectively suppresses off-axis sound, a wide dynamic range of 124 dB and its very low self-noise level, the LCT 140 adds transparency and distortion-free detail to every sound recording. The model's transformerless output design, which makes it immune to electromagnetic interference, and LED displays that can optionally be switched on and off, make the LCT 140 an extremely comfortable all-rounder mic.

What We Think - Lewitt LCT 140 Review

The Lewitt LCT 140 is their basic small diaphragm mic. With a more focused sound that the Lewitt large diaphragms, the LCT 140 is perfect for spot micing. Anywhere you would need a SDC, the LTC 140 is a solid choice. Drum overheads, Hi- Hats, Snare, Acoustic Guitars/instruments, and group vocals (like choirs), are all great applications for this mic. The 4 position pad, and 3 position roll over offers more flexibility to the mic for a number of uses. Natural mids and highs, and solid low mid and low response, fills out the sound of this mic. For me, overheads is where I like a pair of these.
