The Triad-Orbit T1/OM/M2 Microphone Stand System combines all of the elements that you need to get started with the Triad-Orbit microphone system in a compact low-profile application stand. The system is optimized with the M2 orbital microphone hanger for small diaphragm microphones.

Triad-Orbit represents a quantum leap in the evolution of the microphone stand. Every industry-standard component, from stand bases to mic clips, was analyzed and reinvented to realize a singular objective: precise mic placement without compromise. Integrated mic stand systems, assembled from specific combinations of Triad stands, Orbit booms, and Micro components, are available to fulfill any conceivable miking assignment. (Any system can be used with Micro 1 or Micro 2).

    Stands aren't the sexiest item in the world, but they're also absolutely necessary and frequently a source of difficulty. These, on the other hand, just work. They don't fall over, don't droop, and can do stuff that other stands just can't. I'm never buying another stand if it's not Triad Orbit. Worth every penny.

The Triad-Orbit Microphone Stand System is perhaps one of the greatest innovations in the world of professional audio, giving the user unprecedented stability and ability to place microphones as well as mount multiple microphones off of a single stand. These stands are deceptively heavy and it's quite a shock when you grab hold of one to pick it up for the first time; you'll be convinced that it has gravitational pull of a dying star. But enough about the weight of the Triad... let's talk the motion of the Orbit! The ball-gimbal mount allows for ultra-flexible and ultra-fast placement of the boom arms as well as Micro microphone mounts. With this sort of freedom of placement, you'll be able to get microphones into position more quickly and with much less hassle than ever before. It must be said that beyond the whole gimbal positioning system being employed, another revolutionary technology employed in the Triad-Orbit system is that it is completely designed around the concept of "modular quick-change." So, what does that mean? Well, you can have, say, a T2 stand, but decide that instead of the OM boom arm, that you need to mount 2 microphones for (let's say) a singer who is simultaneously recording acoustic guitar. Instead of time consuming and delicate screw threads to navigate, all you have to do is retract the quick-change mechanism on the T2 and simply remove the OM boom arm from the Triad stand. Retract it again and place in the O2 or O2X Double Boom. This whole operation takes less than 15 seconds. Similarly, the ability for rapid microphone changes between recording sessions and live sets happen at lightning speed, thanks to the integrated IO quick-change platform (they also offer IO quick-change Retrofits for traditional microphone stands so you can integrate Triad-Orbit IO quick-change system into your existing setup).
