    Flexible Tool

This excels as an X-Y support but can be used for a variety of other purposes. Of particular help is the threaded bar that can switched to many angles and thus offer support for upper and lower arm positioning. Have two of these and will probably get more.

    Sturdy and fairly versital

Good solid construction. Some folks might find the locking screws a bit small (they seem tinier than necessary). My first opportunity to use the bar was XY stereo miking a small choir. The live concert was in a beautiful cathedral and I didn't want to set up in front of the choir. I placed my stereo pair above at the end of a boom on a huge stand located behind the back choir row. The mics needed to be angled down and back (toward the mic stand). The hexagonal bar made it a little tricky to get the angle I needed. A circular bar or perhaps octagonal would provide better flexibility. I've used the stereo pair once more since then, and I'm getting better at setting the angles I want.
