Lavry Engineering Blue MDA824 2-Channel DA Converter Module

Lavry Engineering Blue MDA824 2-Channel DA Converter Module

Lavry Engineering Blue M∙DA824 DA Converter Module Details

The Lavry Engineering Blue 2-Channel DA Converter Module is a raw component of the Lavry Blue Series and is NOT a standalone unit on it's own. Though all of the individual components may "technically" be purchased separately, installation of the M∙DA824 module to a pre-existing Blue series chassis can be performed by the end user.

If you are seeking to purchase a 2-channel Lavry Engineering Blue modular DA Converter system, we suggest the following:

Lavry Engineering Blue M∙DA824 DA Converter Module Features

  • 2 channels of sonically transparent Lavry D-to-A conversion
  • CrystalLock mode eliminates the effects of source jitter on conversion
  • CrystalLock and Narrow modes operate at 44.1, 48, 88.2, and 96 kHz
  • Wide mode accommodates non-standard sample rates and vari-speed
  • Clocking from AES/SPDIF input requires no user settings when changing sample rates and allows the DA module to operate asynchronously and at different sample rates than the AD converter. For example: monitor 44.1 kHz CD and record 96 kHz simultaneously with one 4496 rack.
  • Constant conversion delay maintains phase accuracy in multi channel MDA systems.

    Excellent Converters

Posted by Stephen Morley on Sep 26th 2013

I have a 4496 chassis with m-sync, 2 channels A/D and now 4 channel D/A. Although I don't have the experience with other high end converters to be able to compare, I know that with the Lavry Blue converters I am getting a beautiful sound, and I couldn't be happier.

The modular nature of this equipment makes it ideal for me, as I can add modules as needed. I'm very satisfied with the sound I am getting, and with 1 A/D and 2 D/A modules I can now send/return via the Lavrys and monitor as well. They sound great.

Lavry Blue DA824 (and Lavry Blue at whole)

    IMHO.
For now, Lavry Blue is one of the best AD&DA converters for its price.
After trying some other converters and after purchase Lavry - I stopped: Lavry gives me all that I need for recording and controls.
