    Excuse the silly pun, but these are good "booms" for the buck....I have done a lot of research on drum mics, and all the positive reports on various forums, from drum and musician forums to sound and recording forums always pointed to Heil products. In addition, I have the Heil PR 30 and PR 20, overhead and snare. I plan on getting another PR 30 for OH, and/or possibly use as a kick mic. Heil Mics are superb, do not waste time or money on anything else. Research as I did, and it would be hard to find better for same cost.

    Bought two with the HH-1 mounts. I went from using a pair of SDCs for picking up my cymbals in a live House Of Worship setting to using a pair of these, Tom-mounted, as cymbal UNDER-MICS. The rejection of these mics, clarity, and lack of slop from your typical condensers picking up the whole kit and other stage sound is a game-changer! Pick these up now!!

    Pros Excellent frequency response, sensitivity, and feedback rejection are outstanding. Accordion sounds real Beefy. Detachable XLR cable. No phantom power required. I think good for recording. Good quality. Made in USA, a big plus for me. Nice to see quality products from American Mfgrs. Cons The Heil Microphones would require additional Shock Mounting if fastened to the Accordion. Though it is a small microphone, it still is pushing the boundaries of comfort for the Accordion mount.
