The Grace Design ROXi Preamp Pedal is a mic preamps in rugged pedal chassis, designed to inspire new creative possibilities for performing and recording musicians.
Think horn players, singers, harmonica shredders, one-mic bluegrass bands, Metal-Polka accordion acts, or anybody who wants to tweak and perfect their own microphone sound on stage or in the studio.
Why a MIC PREAMP pedal? Glad you asked. Here’s a few examples:
- A singer can plug their favorite microphone into a Grace Design mic preamp with their own effect pedals in the FX loop and control their reverb, old-timey AM radio or distorted vocal effects however they want. Singers with pedal boards? Your time has come.
- Horn players looking to expand their sonic palette. Flugelhorn into a wha-wha pedal with distortion and delay? All day. Baritone sax through an octave pedal? Dude.
- Hardworking one-mic bluegrass bands with their very own high-fidelity Grace Design mic preamp on stage. If the banjo and bass player get in an argument, someone can please just tap the mute switch while they sort it out. Embarrassing situation averted.
- Recording engineers can harness the creative possibilities in the studio by inserting their favorite guitar effect pedals into their signal chain. Killer desktop channel strip.
- Any sonic explorer looking to add a single channel of Grace Design preamp to their kit with some unexpectedly cool extra features. Nice.

Well thought out, great sound.
Apr 8th 2025I use Roxi with a DPA 4099 to mic my fiddle in a 4 piece acoustic band. It sounds way better than the mic preamps in typical acoustic amps like the Fishman Loudbox and Henricksen Bud. I love the fact that I can also plug in my piezo pickup instead of a min, although I wish the input was 10M like the Grace Alix. It provides 9v dc power to my tuner and reverb pedals, and I like that the tuner output is always on so my tuner is active if the preamp is muted or not.
