CAD GXL3000 Microphone

The CAD GXL3000 Microphone is a large diaphragm multi-pattern condenser microphone designed to provide high sensitivity and extremely low distortion. With Switchable polar patterns the GXL3000 is extremely versatile in a variety of applications and delivers exceptional accuracy and sonic performance.

The CAD GXL3000 Microphone is an entry-level priced multi-pattern condenser mic that sounds as good on vocals and instruments as mics costing seven times as much. It does particularly well on acoustic piano. Three polar patterns (cardioid, omni, figure-of-eight) allow close, ambient, and M/S stereo miking. Slight bumps at 6 and 12kHz makes for a detailed and exciting sound.

High sensitivity and low distortion make the CAD GXL3000 an ideal mic for recording, broadcast, and sound reinforcement, including vocal and instrument applications. The capsule in the CAD GXL3000 features a 1" gold vapor deposited diaphragm.

The CAD GXL3000 requires standard 48 Volt phantom power. Each CAD GXL3000 microphone is audio tested and inspected under the direction of CAD Professional Microphones, offering an exceptional level of value.

    CAD GXL3000

Posted by Kurt Brown on Mar 1st 2014

A friend of mine suggest this mic for me and I am very happy with the performance of it! I bought through Front End Audio because I also received a 25' cable for free with the purchase of the mic. At first their were some communication issues with the delivery time because the store was closed due to some inclement weather... which they did post on the web site a couple of days later. After a couple of emails and phone calls on my part, everything was taken care of and I still received the mic as promised and did not have to pay extra for shipping. I would use Front End Audio for any future audio merchandise! ~ Kurt

For the price payed you can't aks for more - large diaphragm condencer microphone with low-cut filter and 3 directional modes. Tried it for recording vocals with great results, djambee (bottom) - great lows, violin - very lovely, ambient (omnidirectional mode) microphone. Great piece of gear to start your own project studio and learn different techniques. Recommended!
