Api Bundle
Jun 2nd 2019This has been a go to bundle for me on every session. The 2500 compressor alone makes becomes this worth it. Then you add the eq's with it and its amazing.

One of the best in the Waves line
Jan 6th 2012I didn't want to like these. I've used API gear at a number of big studios and we usually turned to Pultec and Neve EQs. But I found myself using to these a lot as "in the box" EQ's. Really great sounding and easy to use. My "go to " EQs right now.

Great for a Plugin
Jul 29th 2010I really like the 2500 series compressor plug; it really has some bite and adds character. I find it really nice on a drum sub mix. The EQs are decent for plugins, although none of them are as fun as decent outboard stuff.

A Plugin That Fills the Void
Jan 31st 2010I'll start off this review by saying that I have had very little opportunity within my lifetime to work on an actual API board or with API modules...so I'm not going to begin to compare this bundle to the real thing. I will say the eq plugins and compressor contained within have really opened up my sound. I mix with Pro Tools LE, and I know my limitations...however this bundle has opened my eyes to new opportunities. The equalizers are aggressive but, used with finesse, will refine and boost the lows and highs in the most appealing way. The compressor takes some time to get use to, but has a great deal of versatility. All that said, Waves plugins aren't the cheapest tools around, but I will confess, I feel like I am getting my money's worth so far.
