The Sennheiser e906 Dynamic Microphone is a professional super-cardioid instrument mic with switchable presence filter. Versatile to handle drums, percussion, and guitar amplifiers, the e906 also offers three position switchable sound character (bright, moderate, dark).

The Sennheiser e906 Dynamic Microphone is especially designed for guitar amps and is also excellent for percussion and horns. The Sennheiser e906 Instrument Microphone is a dynamic super-cardioid designed for use with guitar amps, percussion and brass instruments. It has a rugged metal body and provides a three-position switchable presence filter that allows the adaption of the sound characteristics.

The Sennheiser e906 is a tough microphone to beat for the cost-effective mic-ing of guitar amps to result in a great sound in either the studio or live. With the filter switch, you have three very effective sounds to help you tailor the end result you are looking for. Though the filtering can change the sound of this mic quite radically, I've found this mic to be the closest sounding variant of the original legendary MD 409 (flat and roll-off modes). You'll find the sound of the e906 to be both full and focused.
