The Rycote InVision 7HG MKIII Shock Mount is virtually an indestructible shock mount designed for small diaphragm microphones to minimize handling noise, rumble, and vibration.

The Rycote InVision 7HG MKIII Shock Mount accommodates most small diaphragm microphones measuring 19 to 34mm in diameter. The cradle stabilizes even heavy microphones and allows the use of windscreens without sagging. A heavy duty swivel with a star knob fastens your mic tightly in place. The Lyre cradle rests on a miniature bar with a 3/8" threaded base and includes a 5/8" adapter.

The Rycote InVision 7HG MKIII Shock Mount base features an integrated cable clamp for securing excess cable and minimizing noise. The unique Lyre suspension and cable clamp are engineered with Hytrel for a virtually indestructible design that maximizes shock and noise absorbtion.

Rycote InVision 7HG MKIII Shock Mount Features

  • Virtually indestructible
  • Offers much improved isolation from camera noise compared to other on-camera microphone mounts
  • No elasticated parts — never sags or needs rethreading

    Much better than elastic!
    Marty

This is my first Rycote product, and I could not be more pleased. The Rycote is a sturdy but flexible plastic and I think it even isolates better than elastic, though I have not compared the two to say definitely. I’m planning on buying several more and replacing all of my elastic mounts. Another thing I like about this is the clip and swivel clamp is strong. It seems to be designed for small diaphragm mics like KM184’s or a shotgun, but it can squeeze a larger microphone like a VP-88 and hold it tight and secure, though I wouldn’t recommend it. My point is, this is well made in all aspects, including a common weak point, the hinge/clamp. As always, the customer service at Front End is always top notch!
