    A Great idea
    Dave

My Studio has carpet on the floor, which can make a mic stand a little more unstable, especially with a heavy tube mic hanging on an extended boom. I bought these and put them on the bottom of the stand, just above the legs. It adds allot of stability to the stand, and makes for less worry about a stand tipping over. I am Very glad I bought these!!! 6 pounds added to a mic stand really does wonders for stability. If you try one, I think you'll buy more. I use the 3 pound weight on the end of a boom, to help offset the weight of a heavy mic, and it works very good that way as well.
