    good mixer, excellent customer service

It's a good mixer, I already use a mackie vlz3. but I ordered this because I had a specific need for it. It had been incorrectly listed as in-stock, but a very helpful guy on the phone was able somehow to get a hold of one, when I was prepared to have to order from somewhere else.

    Exactly what I needed
    Tom Test

I'm a full-time voice-over talent, so my needs are different than your average musician's. In the past I have used a Mackie Onyx 1220 (GREAT, but just too big), a Yamaha MG10 (didn't like the preamps), a Soundcraft Compact4 (loved the sound and small size, but did not have inputs for a phone patch). This Mackie 802 met my needs perfectly. It has a very small footprint, but has all the connections I'll ever need. The preamps are very good - not quite as good as the Onyx, but good enough for narration and auditioning (I have better preamps for broadcast gigs). And the price was right too. I'm very satisfied.
