XLogic Channel XL 9000 K Series
The choice of the world's premier facilities, the XL 9000 K Series represents the latest in a long heritage of premier studio consoles from SSL. The XLogic channel shares the same acclaimed sound quality as the XL console from which it was developed. Four-time Grammy-nominated mixing and producing icon Jack Joseph Puig (John Mayer, Green Day, The Goo Goo Dolls, No Doubt, 311, Rancid, and others) uses the SuperAnalogue Channel at OCEAN WAY STUDIOS in Los Angeles. He is quoted in EQ magazine saying when he gets a vocal track that's soft, he'll quickly turn to the SSL. "With the SSL, I can really go in and get that mid-range detail," says Puig. "When vocals are too soft sometimes it's tough to make them sund convincing. But with the SSL, I can make them convincing."
SuperAnalogue Pre-amplifier with Switched Gain
The SSL XLogic Channel is a DC-coupled design, which is ciruitry that employs no capacitors in the signal path. Refining designs for many years, using the highest-quality electronic components, computer simulation and design tools, the SSL engineering team developed a whole new set of design techniques to achieve their goals. The result is an ultra-wide and flat frequency response, extremely low distortion and an almost unmeasurable noise floor. Another benefit of DC-coupling is a full low end. The preamp section. The XLogic Channel's preamp section features dual input selection from front or rear mic or line level inputs. The XLogic's stepped rotary gain switch allows easy reset of gain levels. Other XLogic Channel sections include SSL's famous Twin-Curve dynamics plug G and E Series Twin-Curve EQ.
Optional 192kHz ADC Card
The ADC card is designed to complement the extended bandwidth performance of the XLogic Channel. Drawing on SSL's acclaimed C-series digital console technology, the custom designed 192kHz ADC card offers exceptional conversion quality, with the flexibility to operate at multiple sample frequencies including allowance for varispeed and pull-up/pull-down frequency operation.

- RMS compressor, overeasy, switchable to eaksensing, hard knee via pull switch. Selectable fast attack mode for fast transients.
Filters:
- High Pass - (18 dB/octave); Low Pass - (12 dB/octave); DYN SC button places the filters into the dynamics sidechain, for frequency-dependent gating.
XL Twin-Curve EQ:
- G/E Series selectable 4 band parametric EQ.
- Variable Q on both mid bands.
- Shelving/Bell high and low bands.
- Gain and Q characteristics change with G/E selection.
- Variable Output Level with 0dB detent.
- LED Meter switchable between input and output.
