Perfect for comparing guitar speakers lick-by-lick July 29, 2016
Reviewer: highresaudiophoto from Redmond, WA United States
The price may seem high for what looks like a glorified 2P2T switch but it's all relative: Tube amps must not be operated without speakers which is why this unit uses a pair of relays to implement a "make-before-break switch" to delay switching off the first speaker until after the second speaker has been switched on (and vice-versa).

The rest of the circuitry enables using a wired remote switch (Slingshot) to reduce speaker cable spaghetti, which I currently don't use but which may come in handy in the future.

The unit feels solid, is straightforward to setup, and operates smoothly without any prominently noticeable transition.

I currently use it to compare speakers in 1x12 test enclosures before committing to building a couple of 4x12s. Being able to do so instantly, lick-by-lick, can be very revealing. I only wish it had 3 or more speakers to select from.
