| A Designs EM Blue Details
The A Designs EM-Blue mic preamp module is part of the company's line of unique modules, each with their own "color" - both sonic and visual. The EM-Blue's custom-wound "Nickel" output transformer gives this module an "airy" vibe that adds a distinctive tonal flavor - useful in any mix. As with all EM Series modules, this preamp card offers quality features, such as a phase switch, 20dB pad, 48V phantom power, aluminum gain knob, and thumb screws for easy install and un-install in the EM-Blue mic pre module.
Part of a colorful line
The A Designs "EM Series" is a twist on their popular Pacifica-based P-1 module. Each color (Silver, Blue, Red, and Gold) has its own sound, which is accomplished by using different custom wound output and input transformers. This gives you a large palette of preamp "coloration" to add to the sound of your favorite microphones or instruments.
Blue-sky tone
The EM-Blue is equipped with a "Nickel" custom wound output transformer. This translates into highs which will produce a much more airy top-end tone than the other modules in the line. Used with a dark-sounding microphone or a alto vocalist, it can produce a truly celestial sound. This pre is also useful for capturing a crisp snare drum sound.
