Cheap and works but... |

With a little more attention to detail, this could be a nice piece...
The plastic knobs are rounded, slick and a little small: They are hard to get a hold of. the threads are machined off close to the knob so that the mic clip can be positioned - the threads on the bar are not engaged and the clip is held to the bar by friction.
Great idea, but wait....
The positions on the end have two little protrusions so that the clip doesn't touch down on the bar. Not only that, but the clip doesn't sit level. As it is, there isn't enough friction to keep heavier mics in place.
The positions in the middle have another problem: The bar is too thick and the threads don't clear the bar. So, you can't reposition the mic clip. To add insult to injury, there isn't enough thread left for a locking ring....
But, for under $25, what else can you get? I'd gladly pay even $45 if they'd put threaded knobs on there that worked and did something about the protrusions on the end positions.
