My first experience with these cables really came when working with engineer Michael Bishop on an Ernest Ranglin album (Gothca!) for Telarc. Michael showed up with a huge flight case full of Monster Cable Studio Pro 1000 cables. We bypassed all the wall panels and ran straight into the pre-amps and then straight to the Studer A800 MkIII - all using the Monster Cable. Being intimately familiar with the sound of the studio as a unit, I immediately noticed a difference in the openness and sheer girth of the bottom end. But the top end had a nice and smooth top to it that wasn't simply thin or wispy; there was a complexity to it.
