I buy one of this famous cables in order to compare it with a Vovox one (high end cables made in switzerland). I must confess that there was not a big difference when I've both tested them on a genelec 7050B Sub. Good bass fidelity, no noise at all. I was not able to tell which one was the Vovox.
Then, I made the same test with a Gefell UM70 running to a Daking Mic Pre. I noticed that the Mogami delivered tighter sound. Vovox sound's was as detailed, but fuller and dynamic than the Mogami.
Anyway, in this price range, it's the best cable available in the world, and it's proudly Made in Japan !

yes, these cables are expensive. but if you're serious about getting every last decibel of noise out of your signal chain, they're so worth it. these cables are DEAD quiet. the only drawback is that they're kind of stiff, making them more prone to tangling. I only use mine in the studio so it's not that big of a deal, but I could see how this might be annoying in a live setting.
