this unit does not sound as good in 44.1/48k than in 88.2/96k.
In fact, once you get accustomed to the difference between 44.1k/96k, you notice it more often. There's this slight mud/haziness to it, however it is still EXTREMELY good value and unbeatable sound at this price for the number of I/O.

The Aurora 8 is 8 channels of super transparent AD and DA conversion. I use mine with ADAT inputs and outputs and have never had an issue. Incredible value for the money.

I like the fact that the Aurora offers so many options regarding how you choose to connect it within your recording chain (FW, PT, TDIF, Digilink)
Big thing however, is that this AD/DA is clean. For me, it's what makes this unit part of my "go-to" chain (despite having other AD/DAs which cost more, I end up going back to this more often than not).
