Aurora 8 (LT-FW) a perfect fit |

On the advice of the good people at FrontEnd Audio, I purchased the Aurora 8 with LT-FW installed. The firewire ports defined the ease of use of the Aurora 8, making set up and connection to my Mac a breeze. The LT-FW option was the right choice indeed. Within literally minutes I was good to go. The 8 channels allowed me to mic my drum-kit direct to my DAW, even with an LA-610 in the chain. As well, the unit's slim profile is a great space saver, and facilitated good ventilation in my gear rack. Lynx's reputed A/D conversion was (and still is,) very stable and reassuring, and the well-labeled buttons and LEDs on the front panel are very useful for quick changes and reference, especially when I'm not at the computer. The Aurora 8 has been part of my workflow and production pipeline for 2 months now, and I'm absolutely delighted at its consistency and reliability. Its quality and no-frills approach speaks good design, and great value.
