| Line 6 POD X3 Pro Details For guitarists and bassists, the POD X3 Pro puts a staggering amount of sonic firepower at your fingertips. Packing spot-on models of an insane amount of classic and modern gear, the POD X3 Pro is perfect for any gigging or studio-bound guitarist or bassist. Vocalists can tap into modeled preamps from heavyweights such as Neve and API, while instrumentalists have access to names such as Ampeg, Fender, and Marshall, just to name a few. You can easily connect the POD X3 Pro to any recording or live sound rig.
Dual Tone processing POD X3 Pro is the powerful Dual Tone processor that comes fully loaded with amp and effect models for recording guitar, bass and vocals. In addition, a comprehensive array of inputs and outputs provide seamless integration into professional recording and performance rigs. Split your single-input guitar or bass signal through two different amp and effect chains simultaneously to create gorgeous new hybrids, or use its dual inputs to individually process two instruments-a microphone and a guitar, for example-at the same time.
Live Try to picture this: a pedal board that's 30-feet long, with close to a hundred of the all-time greatest stompboxes (in pristine condition!), along with an effects rack that houses top-notch outboard compressors, reverbs, EQs and vintage preamps. And imagine that you could play and record through this ?oard with no noise at all, only one power supply and only a couple of knobs and switches to control the entire thing. Singers can run their studio microphone into the XLR input and take advantage of the warm and rich suite of mic preamp and compressor models provided by POD X3 Pro. Perform live using POD X3 Dual Tone processing and turn your POD X3 Pro into both a vocal processor/preamp (via XLR input) and a guitar amp modeler/effector (via 1/4" input), and simply send a single stereo pair to the house as you sing and play your sensitive heart out!
In the studio POD X3 Pro isn't simply the most full-featured amp and effect modeler in the world. It's also a USB 2.0-based multi-channel digital recording interface, boasting top-tier specs like 24-bit studio-quality A/D and D/A converters, and 32-bit floating-point processing for sharp, clear audio imaging. Over USB, you've got the ability to record any or all of 8 different signals running through the POD X3 Pro. The 1/4" and XLR inputs can be used to simultaneously record two individual instruments or microphones to separate tracks in your DAW, each in stereo and each with the option of recording the dry mono signal at the same time. (This is perfect for going back after you've recorded a track and adding a little magic with the included plug-in.) In addition to the dual stereo and mono options, there's also a stereo blend being sent down to your DAW that matches exactly the blend coming out of the stereo 1/4" outs.
Computer-based studios will want to exploit the USB 2.0 connectivity provided by POD X3 Pro for multi-channel recording as well as its S/PDIF or AES/EBU Stereo Digital Audio I/O for sending a direct digital signal to their DAWs. For additional recording and processing flexibility, POD X3 Pro also includes software plug-in functionality for integration with DAW recording applications.
