What We Think - Lewitt LCT 240 Review

The Lewitt LCT 240, simply put ?" engage the 300Hz roll off, and get to recording some acoustic guitars, or any acoustic stringed instrument for that matter. It has a focused (but not choked) sound, that like its big brothers, is natural and pleasing. This quickly became one of my favorite acoustic guitar mics, and isn??t too shabby on snare and drum overheads either.

Blown away! December 25, 2012
Reviewer: AJ from Guntersville, AL United States
I received two of these for Christmas and boy, what a surprise! I own an AKG c414 and while I love it on everything, a pair of these in a stereo configuration will blow it away. It's a very modern sounding microphone. Clean, crisp, not harsh, extremely quiet so make sure you have decent preamps. Like the c414, it is super low noise so you don't have to worry about the low frequency hum from your central air or any low level distant noise. These mics are very focused on where you place them. Beautiful imaging, and a big boost around 9-10 kHz that really opens up the top end and that is so smooth, you'll swear you're listening to a much more expensive microphone. I wanted to mention the features a little bit, but you can clearly read about them in the description and I'll just say the lock feature is extremely useful, as are the frequencies Lewitt chose for the roll off. I cannot wait to try these as overheads on my drum kit! That's it, A+, 5 Stars, Two thumbs up! BUY THIS MICROPHONE!
