Fostex FR2 Portable 2-Channel Compact Flash Recorder Details

The FR-2 Portable 2-Track Flash Recorder from Fostex is the first field recorder to offer up to 24-bit/192kHz audio quality. The Fostex FR-2 field recorder is designed for location sound recording, broadcast, sound effects acquisition, TV and radio documentary, or any application where high-quality audio recording is required. The Fostex FR-2 records Broadcast Wave Files (BWF) to either a PCMCIA 1.8" hard drive or Type II CompactFlash card. It has convenient features such as an LCD screen, 10-second pre-record buffer, USB ports, battery power, onboard limiter, phantom powered mic inputs, and a file-per-take system with scene and auto take naming.
