Professional Sound At A fraction Of The Price! June 9, 2015
Reviewer: jeff hucik from baltimore, MD United States
I use this to expand my Apogee Ensemble Thunderbolt to have an additional 16 in/outs Via ADAT. I use the outs on the converter to feed a 16 channel analog summing box(SPL MixDream XP). I use the inputs on the converter to bring the signal back in from the MixDream and other Outboard gear(Compressors and Other PreAmps) to the Apogee so I don't have to use It’s Inputs and have to switch cabling between recording and mixing. I find the FerroFish to be very open and clear from left to right. I have it running off of the Apogee clock Via BNC cable on 44.1. I have no complaints. Sounds just as good as the Apogee Converters in the Ensemble to me. The user interface takes a few to figure out but once you do its nothing to complaint about. The display is nice and clear, easy to see. For the price and quality I think it’s a steal!

16Ch (2xADAT) converter March 2, 2015
Reviewer: Angelo from Middle Village, NY United States
Had two ADA8000 A/D - D/A converters I was using that I found were out of phase, not sure why. Doing research I found I wasn't the only one experiencing this. I was looking to purchase a 16Ch (2XADAT) A/D - D/A converter to replace them and came across the Ferrofish A16AE. Has two very nice hi rez TFT screens showing input and output levels. So far does the job. Happy to be a customer of Front End Audio. Excellent service, pricing and fast delivery
