This Variable-D design dynamic cardioid microphone features a heavy-duty internal pop filter to reduce proximity effects, while an internal element shockmount reduces vibration-induced noise. Engineers have routinely used this mic on kick drums, bass guitar cabinets, and even used them for overheads (see the Led Zeppelin DVD and you'll see them over Bonzo's kit!). I've used it primarily on bass cabs and have loved the depth and dimension that this mic gives the bass.
