The "Live Performance" version of the Earthworks DrumKit System comes with three SR25 cardioid mics (two for overheads, one for kick drum), a KickPad, windscreen, and a beautiful wood carrying case.

Imagine capturing every nuance of a complete drum kit, with astonishing clarity and presence, using only a kick drum mic, and a pair of overheads. Earthworks has created a simple, elegant, and repeatable system to mic drums which provides a dramatic improvement to the sound quality of more traditional multi-mic approaches. A good kick drum mic needs to be optimized for that role. Rather than create a special kick drum mic with tailored response and sensitivity makint it unsuitable for other applications, Earthworks started with the cardioid SR25 and put the tone shaping, and attenuation in an external in-line module called "KickPad". Plug it in to get magnificent kick drum sound every time, and still have a full range SR25 for other recording. The set of three microphones comes with a "KickPad" and a windscreen in an elegant round wooden box. It is available in two models, the DK25L is for live performance and uses SR25s for the overheads. Best of all, the "KickPad" is available separately as the model KP1, if you want to use it with your current kick drum mic.
