Just like the other reviewer, all I could say initially was "wow!" I had my 002 Rack Signature Modification done recently, and I'm sure the 003 Signature Mod is practically identical. The clarity and depth really can be described as almost 3-D. I listen back to old recordings, and now I want to re-do practically everything I've ever done. Some of the things that you will immediately notice: Effects! Effects will jump out like never before (reverb tails, echos, even panning effects). Depth! lower harmonics will be there, along with practically every frequency in the spectrum. Clarity! I have a really good variety of virtual instruments, and the upper end on some of my virtual pianos floored me! The transparency is amazing. If you are wanting to improve your sound without breaking the bank, and don't want to jump up to an HD system just yet, this modification is for you.

All I can say is "WOW-that can't be the 003 that I bought". This mod has changed the sound of my setup in ways I didn't know I could afford. I've used apogee converters & big bens. I wanted to bring that sound home in a unit that wouldn't break the bank, so i moded my 003. The service was amazing. The folks who worked on it did an EXCELLENT job. When i got it back, it was officially BY FAR the most valuable investment I've ever made! The converters KILL the HD192! The clarity, punch & depth of the sound is hard to believe. The pre's sound like API's. The clock is UNREAL. The big ben has NOTHING on it, and I've used the big ben many times. The unit is quieter now & there is virtually no jitter. Tracks sound larger than life - 3D almost. I could never use the stock version again b/c the difference is so dramatic that I hate it. Don't go from an 003 to an HD192 - DO THIS INSTEAD!!!!! You will be much MORE pleased with the quality - plus you'll save cash!
