A must in your mic Locker
Dec 9th 2016Every locker needs a ribbon mic. Through my years - Ive used royers, modded mics, and modern cheap chinese mics. This mic is serious! I usually go to this mic when recording a male vocalist singing a ballad or slower r n b!. Its warm and just makes your whole track change its feel. Ive had mastering engineers asking me what kind of mic was being used. I always like to be the guy with a different locker than anyone else. I live in LA and its very common to go, studio to studio and having the same same ol equipment being used. Good results but same sound! This will give you great results on many instruments as well. I didnt enjoy it for female vocals though it sounded great for a soprano singing opera.
