Aphex Xciter Acoustic Pedal Details

The Aphex Xciter Acoustic Pedal combines two of Aphex's famous signal processors, Big Bottom and the Aural Exciter, together in an instrument-specific package tailored for any traditional acoustic instrument with active or passive pickups. Voicing is clean and open. The Xciter Acoustic gives better articulation, clarity, and projection with a feeling of fuller reach to the lowest notes.

All models include a studio quality DI with ground lift and a separate switch for the effect.
The units are powered by ANY common AC adapter or 9 Volt battery.

"I do quite a bit of live sound and carry my own high quality DI's with me since most DI's that I encounter out in the wild do more to muddy up the sound than to give the engineer something useful. So, you can understand my skepticism when a musician showed up to the gig with one of these. Willing to try anything, I ended up being floored since even a great DI signal often exhibits a somewhat nasally and flat sound that has to be tweaked and twiddled in order to sound usable. With very minimal adjustments, the DI signal I got sounded like an acoustic guitar - not an acoustic-electric.sound. The only thing I noticed is that you need to be a little careful with the low-end since monitor or even FOH feedback can be an issue with this unit. But in the end, I want to carry at least one with me to help bring out a featured acoustic guitar."
