ADK TT Tube Microphone (Custom Shop) Details
The ADK Custom Shop TT is a Class A (Discrete) 9 Polar-Pattern Tube (Valve) Condenser Microphone with Australian-Designed GK-D (dual) capsules from the Custom Shop "Capsule-Bank". Based on ADK's original TT Chassis, this is a totally Customized Product can be built "One-Off" for each client based on one's preference for Historical, Vintage Curves - Microphone Response Characteristics.
The capsules have been totally upgraded on TT Au. All four AU capsules offer 3 dB lower Self-Noise (3dB more Head-Room).

The GK12 Capsule is Brilliant, yet Smoother than Original TT.
ADK Custom Shop TT 67-Au
The GK67 Capsule has a 60's vibe w/ Slightly Mellow Tone.
ADK Custom Shop TT 47-Au
The GK47 Capsule has Medium Mids and a Softer Top. An excellent choice for an All-Around microphone.
ADK Custom Shop TT 251-Au
The GK251 Capsule is Sweeter, top and bottom.
ADK Custom Shop TT 49-Au
The GK49 capsule features a very smooth, dark top, but a full mid and bottom end. Great for getting that extremely vintage vibe on would-be harsh sources. Perfect for strings.

What We Think - ADK TT-Au Review
"The Custom Shop version of the ADK TT is the best path to take if you ultimately want world class microphone performance worthy of 'golden ear' producers, engineers, and artists, but you don't have the world class budget to match it. Out of the box the TT Custom shop is a phenomenal microphone. However, the beauty for the true 'tone-seeker-on-a-reasonable-but-still-somewhat-restricted-budget' is that the TT Custom Shop is the base model upon which ADK's flagship CS Custom Shop microphones are built. So, the idea is that you can get a great microphone now which will still pretty much outperform most any of the microphones in it's price range, but through Front End Audio you can purchase the upgrade to the CS for your TT Custom Shop.
