The ADK S-7 has been discontinued and replaced by the ADK Odin and the ADK Thor (Multipattern), which each feature the three tonal options of all the S-7 microphones combined into one microphone.
ADK S-7B High SPL Microphone Details
The ADK S-7B is a professional transformer-less FET cardioid condenser microphone designed to be a High-SPL, reliable and robust microphone with a distinctly “mellow” sound coloration. A Capacitor Mic that sounds like a Ribbon. Translation: a very smooth, rich, robust tone-coloration.The dynamic range was set to allow for relatively heavy sound pressure levels, and the two-way Pad enables this microphone to be used with sources up to 150 dB SPL. You may never record a jet plane or a loud rock-concert, but you can with any of the S-7 flavors. This particular model, the ADK S-7B, exhibits a “round” tone to tame sibilance, nasality, or overly-bright source-material.
ADK S-7B Applications:

What People Are Saying:
"LOVING the S7B on my horn. Pair this with the Berlin47-Au, STUNNING. Well done gentlemen."
Mark Isham
"Combining the S-7 and S-7C has been the Holy Grail of Guitar-Mic setups for me!Both live and studio, players and engineers, have all been blown-away by these S-7s! Price and quality is unparalleled!!! I could never replicate what I was hearing while standing in front of my amp to when I heard playback until I found these mics! Never again will I trust the "industry standard" mics with my tone again. The S-7 series mics has become part of my rig and I won't leave home without them. I used to think it was my amp and guitars that sounded brittle in the mix. But it was the mics being used not my gear. Now with the S-7B, I have smoothness without the nasty breakup. And adding the S-7C to the mix adds so much clarity and punch!"

What We Think - ADK S-7b Review
"ADK delivers again! This time it's a microphone designed to take the edge off. Digital recording can show too much top-end that can come off too bright, un-musical, and washy in the care of a lesser microphone. The S-7B helps to tame the beast of shrill or hard-sounding instruments... and at a stupid-good, no-brainer price point. Plus it handles a walloping 150dB SPL! So, it's safe for mic-ing a 1976 'Who' concert (126 dB measured at a distance of 32 meters from the speakers - that is frickin' loud!)."
