A Designs P1 500-Series Preamp Module Details

A Designs P-1 preamp module is based on the company's popular Pacifica preamp, and gives you exceptional sound quality with the classic vibe of some of the great vintage preamps. Featuring a DI, 48V phantom power, 20db pad, and phase buttons, and a gain control, the P-1 excels at adding just the right tonal "color" to the input signal, and flatters any microphone. If you want to add a touch of vintage tone to your console, or just want to improve the range of your studio's tonal capability, plug in the A Designs P-1 preamp module. The P1 is based on the highly successful Pacifica.

Great 500 series pre June 23, 2010

This was the first pair of pres I bought for my lunch box, and it is truly one of my favorites (along side my purple audio biz and pants). Has a very interesting, yet tasteful color. Only down side is that there is no output attenuator, because when hit hard the pre sounds brings out a whole new color - so it would be nice to not have to worry about clipping as much....
well worth the money - clean and versatile enough to make a great pair
